why are so many people still anonymous?

In the few places on this site that have comments, they're mostly done by people who haven't made an account...
Does anyone know a reason behind this?
There are logged-out people over on the original site as well but for some reason, the only people who transferred over here haven't made an account yet.
Are they part of the % that didn't bother to make an account on the original site?
I just find this odd and weird and figured if anyone could give me a logical explanation.

I mean If the sites at some point get actually put together there is for the people who made a account on the original site (like me) no reason to make one over here. Also if most people arent interested in features that require a account there is really no need for one.
